Giovanni Lucchese introduces to Italy the extrusion process for the production of clinker, then an innovative German technology. Floor Gres is founded, in the heart of the world-famous Sassuolo ceramic district. |
| 1967 |
Floor Gres becomes the first Italian company to produce white-body single-fired tiles, applying a process later adopted by the majority of ceramic industries. |
| 1976 |
Floor Gres creates a Swimming Pool Division. |
| 1981 |
Floor Gres is among the first companies in the world to produce porcelain stoneware, a material on which the company’s expertise is now unrivalled. |
| 1984 |
Claudio Lucchese takes the helm of Floor Gres after the premature death of his father Giovanni, the company’s founder. |
| 1990 |
Floor Gres takes over Cerim Ceramiche. |
| 1992 |
Florim is created by the merger of Floor Gres and Cerim. |
| 1994 |
Florim takes over Rex Ceramiche Artistiche. |
| 1995 |
The Projects Division is created to provide technical and project support for special applications (swimming pools, ventilated walls, raised floors and industrial flooring). |

Florim USA is created, for the manufacture and sale of ceramics on the American market. |

Florim takes over Casa Dolce Casa. |
| 2006 |
The Casamood brand is created. |
| 2009 |
Florim begins producing the Slim/4 collections of extra-thin porcelain stoneware slabs.
The company launches Florim by Makro, a new project for ceramic bathrooms.
The first Florim Flagship Store is inaugurated in the centre of Milan.
Florim publishes the first edition of the Sustainability Report , the first ceramic manufacturer in Italy to do so. |
