Florim participates in the exhibition CERSAIE Downtown with three installations situated in the main streets and squares of Bologna.

September 24 2010 - FLORIM PARTICIPATES IN CERSAIE DOWNTOWN
Inspired by the image chosen to represent CERSAIE 2010, the exhibition in Bologna’s historical centre presents an installation made of large stylised apples, volumes covered in ceramic materials to showcase for the general public the latest trends in contemporary surfaces.
The Florim installations will showcase three new products from the brands Casamood, Floor Gres, and Rex.
In Piazza Galvani, just a short walk from the Archiginnasio, the spotlight will be on Nera, the Casamood collection that absorbs the essence of lava stone to be transformed into a precious material proposal: a surface with an absolutely natural look, with a distinct and unusual design. A timeless material, symbol of the indisputable force of nature, presented in the innovative 120x120 cm size.
Along Via Rizzoli, one of the main arteries of Bologna, the new series Walks/1.0 (a Floor Gres brand) will cover another cube: the aesthetics of quartzite applied to technical porcelain stoneware creates a material that becomes the perfect synthesis of nature and technology, combining the value of research with the quality of the raw materials.
Piazza Maggiore, at the heart of the city, will be the showcase for Rex and its collections I Marmi and Le Essenze: an interpretation in porcelain stoneware of stone and wood, combined together to create settings with a high visual and emotional impact. The inspiration for I Marmi comes from materials of European and Asian origin, historically processed in the industrial factories. Le Essenze, on the other hand, derives from a selection of six of the rarest and most precious wood varieties existing in nature. The idea is to give value and renewed notoriety to these materials thanks to the use of the most modern production technologies applied to porcelain stoneware.
CERSAIE Downtown will therefore be a prestigious showcase for Florim, the perfect stage on which to illustrate for the public how our design path has evolved.
