The solidarity initiative promoted by florim managers is awarded the "rsi prize"

Established with the support of the Province of Modena and the Chamber of Commerce, the RSI Award for Corporate Social Responsibility in the Province of Modena aims to recognize the very best examples of Corporate Social Responsibility in a number of categories, making them paradigms of innovation and corporate culture. Companies can compete in several areas which range from initiatives to improve the quality of work and relationships with employees to company governance, from environmental and social reporting to eco-sustainable innovations related to products and services.

The fifth edition of the prize took place in 2011 and Florim was awarded this important recognition in the Environmental and Social Reporting category for its Sustainability Report 2009. Now in its third annual edition, the Florim Sustainability Report was the first report of its kind in the ceramics industry and has set the objective of reporting on the commitments and actions undertaken by the company in the economic, social and environmental setting, as a tool for information and exchange with its stakeholders. This is why the Report is drawn up each year in addition to the traditional management control systems, as a constant reminder of the stability and commitment to improve performance and their impact on the community, with a view to bringing together competitiveness, innovation and sustainability.

Florim was also awarded at the 2010 edition of the RSI Award (held in April 2010), in the special category dedicated to improving relief and assistance initiatives for employees, through the Florim Executives Solidarity Association.
The Solidarity Association (through which 10% of executives’ wages is devolved to help the employees most significantly affected by cuts and layoffs) was recognized as a project of great social value, a real aid to families experiencing difficulty and a decision that, if taken as an example for others, helps look at the future with renewed confidence.
